Getting around Puerto Vallarta and the surround Bahia de Banderas region is very simple. Use the many transportation options. There are a multitude of ways to get around. Such ways include taxi, bus, boat, airplane, and so many more.
Certain towns and beaches like Yelapa can only be accessed by taking a water taxi. Don’t limit yourself in the amount of options that exist. Taxis are the quickest way to get from point A to point B. Taking a city bus is the most inexpensive way to travel around the bay. Buses can take you as far south as Boca de Tomatlan, and as far north as Sayulita.
When you want to take a trip outside of the Bahia de Banderas region, take a touring bus to someplace interesting. Guadalajara, Mexico’s second largest city is only a 5 hour bus ride away.
